Security cameras designed around the property—not just the box they came in.
We design and install business camera systems with thoughtful placement, reliable recording, remote access and the network infrastructure needed to make the system dependable.
Good surveillance starts with what you actually need to see.
The right camera depends on distance, lighting, field of view, mounting height, network access and what you need the footage to prove later.
We design the system as part of the network.
Because Sterling IT also handles networking, we can plan switching, PoE, VLANs, recording storage, remote access and UPS protection instead of treating the cameras as isolated devices.
Camera systems for real business environments.
Camera Placement & Design
We plan views around entrances, parking areas, workspaces, warehouses, yards, gates and other priority areas.
Local Recording
NVR-based recording with storage sized around camera count, resolution and desired retention.
Remote Viewing
Secure access from phones and computers so authorized users can check locations without being onsite.
Person & Vehicle Detection
Where supported, smarter event detection can make it easier to find useful footage instead of scrubbing through hours of video.
Multiple Locations
Centralized viewing and consistent camera standards for organizations with several offices or properties.
Night & Low-Light Coverage
Camera selection and placement that account for lighting, glare, IR reflection and nighttime visibility.
Network Integration
PoE switching, bandwidth planning, segmentation and network troubleshooting handled by the same IT team.
Power Protection
UPS planning for critical switches, NVRs and network equipment to improve resilience during brief power interruptions.
Service & Expansion
Help with failed cameras, recording issues, adding coverage and expanding an existing system where supported.
Different properties need different coverage.
Offices
Entrances, common areas, exterior doors and parking lots without turning the workplace into a surveillance maze.
Warehouses
Loading areas, inventory zones, docks, yards and high-value access points.
Farms & Remote Sites
Buildings, equipment areas, gates and property access where network and power availability may require extra planning.
Government & Public Facilities
Coverage designed around public access, building entrances, parking and operational needs.
We choose the platform that makes sense for the project.
Sterling IT has deployed systems from Ubiquiti, Reolink, Lorex and other camera platforms. We do not force every property into the same product if the requirements point somewhere else.
No fake “AI camera” promises.
Detection features can be useful, but they do not replace proper camera placement, lighting or recording strategy. We focus first on whether the system will actually capture useful footage.
Security camera FAQ
Do your camera systems require monthly cloud fees?
Not necessarily. We can deploy local-recording systems that do not require mandatory cloud recording subscriptions. Some platforms or optional features may involve recurring licensing or cloud services.
Can I view cameras from my phone?
Yes, on supported systems. We configure authorized remote access and can help users get the mobile or desktop applications set up.
Can you add cameras to an existing system?
Sometimes. Compatibility depends on the current recorder, camera platform, network and licensing. We assess what is already installed before recommending expansion or replacement.
Do you install cameras at homes?
Our primary focus is business and organizational camera systems. Residential projects may be considered selectively, but commercial work is the main service.
Need better camera coverage?
Tell us what you are trying to see, what problems the current system has and which parts of the property matter most. We can help work backward from the actual goal.
